What happens on the free consultation session? The session will be held on Zoom or by phone depending on your preference. It will take around 30 minutes. I will ask you questions about your child and the parenting challenges that you are experiencing. I will explain how I work and how I can support you and you will have opportunity to ask any quesions. If you are a two parent household it is best if both parents are able to attend the consultation session.
-
Do you work face to face or online?I work with families all over the UK online but if you are in the Newcastle area then I am able to work face-to-face either at my office in Gosforth or in your home, dependent on distance. I am happy to work with clients in different time zones assuming we can agree a mutual convenient time.
-
How many sessions will I need? This will be assessed during the initial phone call. It is individual to each family and their needs. As a rough guide it would be difficult to achieve a sustained change in less than 3 sessions. Parents may continue to work with me for many months and some parents may access support on an occasional basis for longer time periods.
-
How often will the sessions be?Again this depends on the needs of the family and their preferences. Most parents work with me weekly or fortnightly.
-
How much do sessions cost? The cost of sessions if £70 per one hour session. As part of the service I will also provide you with an email summary including any reflections, useful links and next steps.
